Okay, here is the deal. I’m all about the splurge! My wallet may not be too fond of it, but hey. My closet is full of clothes that I have worn for years that still look brand new! Splurging, in my opinion, is worth every penny if you are buying clothes that are going to save you money in the long run. I read somewhere that you should put good quality items between you and the elements, i.e. shoes, jeans, coats, and other things that are not clothing, but I’ve yet to invest in good tires or good sheets… Oops.
Today I wore some of my favorite and lovingly worn staples to share with you!
Coat: Pendleton Wool (I have dreamed about owning my very own Pendleton anything and now I have my very own cozy coat! Now is a great time to get yourself a wool coat, they’re having winter sales and there are tons of styles left!!)
Jeans: Paige Denim (you guys, I’m not kidding when I tell you I have had these jeans for 2+ years, maybe even three, and I wear them almost every single day. They’re the perfect pair of jeans and I love, love, love Paige. Go try some on at Anthropologie or Nordstrom!)
Shoes: Tory Burch (I used to work at Nordstrom and I drooled over Tory Burch flats. I wanted a pair SO badly, so when I landed my “big girl job” I decided to break down and buy a pair, but I waited until anniversary, hello sales! I’ve had these babies for a year and a half and wear them out rain or shine. Gold goes with everything, even gray skies!)
Sweater: Anthropologie (I had my eye on this sweater for months. If you can wear something with jeans, leggings and dresses I am all about it. Anthropologie’s winter tag sale came around, and what do ya know, 40% off?! I bought it in two colors! This sweater is all sold out, but their sale is way too good to pass up! Get your booty there before everything is sold out! …and in my closet.)
My best advice for splurging is to wait until stores have their sales. Particularly winter sales! I’m fairly certain the entire world is on sale right now, so go invest in some staple pieces that you can wear for years to come! There’s no way you’ll regret a beautiful, quality anything hanging in your closet.

You are a wealth of knowledge! I’m particularly fond and incredibly jealous of your Pendleton coat….but you probably knew that already
