Hi, hi,
Last week there was a post on Buzzfeed about Lush products that wasn’t as informative that the commenters were expecting. So, I wanted to do, kind of, a follow up and tell you all my favorite Lush products!
Okay, I must admit, I just purchased this one and have only used it a few times. As I was reading the comments to find other favorites from Lush I came across this one with multiple people saying it erased their acne scars! Needless to say I was intrigued. At first I had a really hard time using it, I mixed a pea sized amount with water in my palm just like the instructions said, but it didn’t seem super effective. Then, I took it in the shower! I tried it with my Clarisonic, nothing super great happened, and then I finally just rubbed some with my thumb & fore/middle fingers, BAM! That did the trick! So far, I’m really liking this, I’m quite fond of it. Let’s see if it erases those acne scars!
Oh, Tea Tree Water, I love you. I had never used toner before this, but I’m a big believer in Tea Tree Oil, so I was all for it! I love how it feels, I love how it smells. It’s perfect. I use it in the morning and at night and then put on my moisturizer. It’s wonderful and has helped a lot with random breakouts! This is the Lush product that I have been using the longest. My motto is “if I won’t put something into my body, I’m not going to be thrilled about putting it on my body.” That is when I started experimenting with honey. I put it on my face and even in my hair… That proved to be kind of difficult to remove, so when my friend told me about this shampoo I was thrilled! I love the way it smells and it adds so much volume and shine to my hair! A little goes a long way and the bottles last me MONTHS! Even the smallest bottle can last me a month, at least! This is my very, very favorite and I recommend it to everyone!! Tip — when you’re washing your hair flip your head over and get the shampoo right up in your roots. Like I said, a little goes a long way, but if you get a little water mixed in it really helps with the lather! So fresh and so clean.
Mmmmm, mmmm, mmm. I love, love, love this mask! It is tingly and yummy and minty! It’s a great scrub and when I went in looking for it the sales lady told me that it pulls toxins out of your skin, SOLD! It doesn’t really dry like a regular mask, so I usually put it on while I’m cleaning the house and wash it off in the shower, since it’s a little messy. It’s also a GREAT spot treatment, I have it on a couple spots right now! Told ya! 🙂I started using their mascara last year and I haven’t gone back. If you read the reviews you might be discouraged by the spoolie comments. (It’s called a spoolie, right?? Where am I getting this word!?) Don’t be! You can use one from a different mascara, which I did when I first started using it, but honestly… The spoolie (that’s what we’re calling it from now on regardless..) really isn’t bad. You just gotta get used to a shorter WAND! It’s called a wand. Oh well, I like spoolie better! Also, make sure you switch this out every three months, since it’s so natural it will go bad for sure, but all mascaras do, so make sure you’re switching out your mascara regularly!!
Last but not least… I got this when I chopped my hair last year. It. Smells. Phenomenal! I have used maybe a teaspoon of this stuff, it lasts forever and smells so, so good! It’s the perfect way to get rid of frizzies and make your hair soft to the touch. It works really well on second day, curly hair! It keeps those curls intact! Did I mention it smells great!?
Honorable mentions:
Sea Spray: I love this stuff. It’s another wonderful smelling hair product that makes curls look great! I’ll spray it onto my hair when I have time to air dry it, then run my fingers through it til it’s pretty much dry. Voluminous curls await! Be warned: Do Not Use Too Much On Dry Hair. Your hair will be incredibly sticky and look greasy as can be!
Dirty Hair Cream: Okay, so I’ve been ranting and raving about the smells of these products, but this stuff. OH MY GOSH! YOU GUYS! Oh, I love it. I want to buy all of the products for my boyfriend, unfortunately he prefers the smell on me, which I’m fine with! I got a sample of this months ago and have barely used any of it! I just get a tiny, tiny bit on my fingertips and pinch it through my ends!
What are some of your favorite Lush products?? OR! If you have another company that uses natural ingredients, what are your suggestions? I would love to hear!
